Orlando Magic defeat Miami Heat to arrest four-game slide

THE Orlando Magic survived a late rally by the Heat, 116-107, on Monday in Miami (Tuesday, Manila time).

The Magic squandered a double-digit second quarter lead and saw themselves trailing by four early in the fourth, 89-93, before fighting back and securing the win.

Evan Fournier scored 24 points as the Magic snapped a four-game slide.

Elfrid Payton came off the bench to deliver 20 points, while Serge Ibaka scored 17.

Nikola Vucevic had a double-double of 13 points and 17 rebounds for Orlando, which notched its 21st win in 57 games.

The Heat absorbed their second straight loss after a 13-game win streak.

Dion Waiters scored 23 and Goran Dragic added 22 points for Miami, which now has a 24-32 win-loss record.

Hassan Whiteside had a double-double of 12 points and 19 rebounds, while James Johnson scored 14.
