Eric Bledsoe leads late push as surging Suns close out strong to edge lowly Mavs

ERIC Bledsoe had 26 points as the Phoenix Suns used a strong fourth quarter to edge out the Dallas Mavericks, 102-95, on Thursday (Friday, Manila time) in a meeting of Western Conference cellar dwellers.

Dallas tied the game 93-all after a 19-foot jumper from Deron Williams with two minutes left. Bledsoe countered with a 3-pointer that sparked a 9-2 run to close out the game.

The Suns recorded their second straight win to improve to a 12-25 record while the Mavs drop to 11-25.

Devin Booker was 17-of-29 from the field, including 3-of-3 from downtown to finish with 22 points for the Suns. Brandon Knight added 17 markers while Alex Len came up with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Williams led Dallas with 20 points and six assists. Harrison Barnes had 19 while Seth Curry added 16 markers off the bench.
