DWYANE Wade is staying with the Chicago Bulls at least for one more year after informing the team on Tuesday (Wednesday, Manila time) that he’s picking up his $23.8 million player option for next season.
Wade’s move drew flak from some critics, claiming that the 35-year-old guard was ‘overpaid’ especially at this late stage of his career.
But the three-time NBA champ, popularly called ‘Flash’ by his fans, was quick to fire back with a savage tweet.
“18.3 points in a game in 29 minutes on 43% shooting at 35 years old. If I’m 25 with the same numbers, I’m getting 150 million [lol emoji] #Fading #petty,” wrote Wade, referring to his scoring average in his first season with the Bulls, on his Twitter post.

The 12-time All-Star was also on point in his response when asked why he chose to take the player option than test free agency or retire.
“24 million reasons,” replied Wade, in response to the question from TNT's David Aldridge.
Asked Dwyane Wade tonight why he opted in with Chicago for 2017-18: "24 million reasons."
