BEING sidelined with an injury has not stopped Dwyane Wade from helping out the Chicago Bulls - and having fun in the process.

The three-time NBA champ rented out a Waffle House shortly after the Bulls arrived in Florida on Tuesday (Wednesday, Manila time) to play against the Orlando Magic.

Forced to miss the game due to an ailing thigh, the veteran guard boosted his teammates’ morale with a treat and posted several Snapchat videos of himself with teammates Isaiah Canaan, Cam Payne and Jerian Grant eating in the diner.

"My teammates said they want to go to Waffle House, so I rented out Waffle House," Wade said in a deadpan delivery. "I usually don't eat Waffle House or eat like this, but sometimes, you know, you gotta do what the guys do."

Wade, who is averaging 18.9 points, 4.6 assists and 4 rebounds per game with the Bulls, is still popular in The Sunsine State, having played his first 13 seasons with the Miami Heat.

Wade followed it up by sharing a video of his surprised Uber driver who picked him up from the restaurant. The driver introduced himself as a fan of the Heat, a team where Wade won three championships. The driver even showed the 12-time All-Star a photo of himself with former Heat center Alonzo Mourning on his cell phone.

"Gotta love real fans," Wade wrote in a scrawl across one of the videos.
