Dwight Howard showed the way as the Hawks, coming off a win over the Phoenix Suns, notched their 38th win in 74 games.
Howard had a huge double-double of 22 points and 20 rebounds.
Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 19 on 7 of 14 shooting, while Kent Bazemore came off the bench to also score 19, making 6 of 10 field goal attempts.
Dennis Schroder and Ersan Ilyasova each had 14 points for Atlanta.
The Sixers, coming off a win over the Brooklyn Nets, suffered their second loss in the last three games.
Richaun Holmes had 25 points, while Dario Saric scored 15 for Philadelphia.
