KEVIN Durant showed the way as the Golden State Warriors closed in on the Westerns Conference finals with a 102-91 victory over the Utah Jazz on Saturday in Salt Lake City (Sunday, Manila time).
The Warriors overcame a third-quarter slip to make it 3-0 in the best-of-seven semifinals series.
Durant scored 38 on 15 of 26 shooting, while Steph Curry went 6 for 20 and wound up with 23 points.
Andre Iguodala was the only other Golden Stage player to score in double digits, coming off the bench to deliver 11 points.
The Warriors lost an early 11-point lead and fell behind by nine in the third before rallying in the fourth.
Golden State, which disposed of the Portland Trail Blazers in four games, can complete another sweep on Monday.
Gordon Hayward had 29 points on 9 of 18 shooting, and all the other Utah starters scored in double figures.
Rudy Gobert had 21 points and 15 rebounds, Shelvin Mack added 11, while Joe Ingles and Boris Diaw added 10 each.
