MIAMI’S Duncan Robinson became the 10th player in NBA Finals history to make seven 3-pointers in a game, doing it in Game Five on Friday night.
Stephen Curry has done that five times and Ray Allen did it twice. The others besides Robinson to do it — Danny Green, Kyrie Irving, Mike Miller, Scottie Pippen, J.R. Smith, Kenny Smith and Klay Thompson. Miller, like Robinson, did it in a Heat uniform.
LeBron James made six 3s in Game 5, tying the Los Angeles Lakers' record for 3's in a finals game. The others on that list: Derek Fisher, Michael Cooper and Kobe Bryant.
BUTLER'S NUMBERS
Miami's Jimmy Butler has been in five NBA Finals games — and is already tied for fourth on an all-time list.
He has two triple-doubles in his finals career. Only LeBron James (10), Magic Johnson (8) and Draymond Green (3) have more. Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, Bob Cousy, Walt Frazier and Bill Russell also had two in their careers.
Butler is the first player in NBA history to have two triple-doubles in his first finals appearance.
