DREW Gordon is upset his brother Aaron Gordon of the Orlando Magic didn’t win the Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday (Sunday Manila time) in the NBA All-Star Weekend. And he is blaming the loss on one of the judges—Shaquille O’Neal.
In one of the most memorable slam dunk contests in ages, Gordon brought down one sick dunk when he leaped over the Orlando Magic mascot with Stuff the Magic Dragon in a hoverboard and threw down a between-the-legs slam during the preliminaries. However, he only got a 49 with O’Neal, a former Orlando Magic himself, only giving him a 9 on the spectacular slam.
Eventually, Gordon lost to reigning champion Zach Lavine of the Minnesota Timberwolves following two dunk-offs in the finals. Drew then pinned the blame on O’Neal for his brother losing the contest. “@SHAQ robbed my brother of a dunk contest championship @SHAQ you mad at something bruh????,” wrote Drew, a former NBA player himself, on his Twitter account.
Drew was nevertheless proud of what his brother accomplished. “So unbelievably proud of my brother and all contestants that participated in the dunk contest! That was a treat for everyone to watch,” he added.
