BASKETBALL Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo went to social media to dismiss a malicious e-mail supposedly coming from his account asking for money after he supposedly got robbed in the Philippines.
The four-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year posted a video via his Instagram account on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time) denying the robbery and that he was in no danger.
Mutombo said his e-mail was hacked and asked people not to respond or click on the message he supposedly sent.
The video was captioned, “No No No. They can not win in the House of Mutombo.”
“Hello everyone. If you get the e-mail saying it’s from Dikembe Mutombo asking you for money from the Philippines from me, do not answer the email,” said the 50-year old Congolese-American.
“My e-mail was hacked by these crazy people. I don’t know why. They need to get a life,” he added.
