    Pistons ride scorching start to score easy victory over Hawks for second win in a row

    THE Detroit Pistons rode a scorching start to take down the Atlanta Hawks, 118-95, on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time).

    Tobias Harris led the early onslaught with 15 points in the first quarter as the Pistons shot 16-of-26 on the floor, including 6-of-7 from beyond the arc, to outscore the Hawks, 42-18, in the period.

    Detroit even led by 30, 54-24, approaching the midway point of the second quarter and Atlanta could only get as close as 19 midway through the fourth, before the Pistons bench took care of business until the final buzzer.

    All Pistons starters scored in double figures, led by Reggie Jackson with 26 points. Harris finished with 19, and Reggie Bullock added 15 markers. Marcus Morris had a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Andre Drummond also doubled up with 13 markers and 17 boards. Detroit won its second straight game to improve to 20-24.

    Atlanta fell to 21-18 despite getting 21 points and eight rebounds from Paul Millsap. Dennis Schroder added 13 markers and six assists.
