WHEREVER Derrick Rose plays, Chicago will always be close to his heart - if not his feet.
The youngest ever NBA MVP announced the official release of his latest signature shoe from adidas at the LVL3 event held in Planet Hollywood Las Vegas on Thursday (Friday, Manila time) and even found a way to honor his hometown of Chicago.
The initial adidas D Rose 7 which the 27-year-old guard debuted was in a Solar Red colorway that pays homage to the city of Chicago, where the 2008 NBA draft top pick spent seven seasons before being traded to the New York Knicks this offseason.
Sporting a high-top profile, the new performance sneaker has full-length Boost energy return and cushioning in the midsole while a herringbone pattern maximizes grip on the court. The fabric upper will have a sock-like fit and emphasizes lockdown by virtue of strategically placed lace-on straps coupled with plastic heel counters.
The adidas D Rose 7 will be available starting on August 11 and will have an SRP of $160.
