THE New Orleans Pelicans finally won with DeMarcus Cousins, defeating the Lakers, 105-97, on Sunday in Los Angeles (Monday, Manila time).
Cousins came up with 26 points and 15 rebounds as the Pelicans bounced back from a loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
Anthony Davis delivered 31 points on 10 of 22 shooting and was a rebound short of a double-double as New Orleans notched its 25th victory in 63 outings.
The Pelicans are now 1-4 with Cousins in the lineup.
Jrue Joliday had 20 points and 12 assists, while E’Twaun Moore came off the bench to chip in 13 markers.
The Lakers absorbed their seventh straight loss and 44th in 63 games.
Nick Young had 19 points on 7 of 12 shooting for Los Angeles.
Brandon Ingram went 7 for 13 and finished with 16 points, which was matched by D’Angelo Russell by making 7 of 20 attempts.
Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson scored 14 on 4 of 9 shooting for the Lakers.
