DELONTE West's post-NBA life continues to be troubled as he was last spotted outside a Jack in the Box fastfood parking lot in Houston reportedly wearing a hospital robe and walking without shoes last week.
In a TMZ report sent by a tipster, a basketball fan saw the eight-year NBA veteran but wasn't sure at first if indeed it was West, who played for Boston, Cleveland, and Dallas in an NBA career that ended in 2012.
The informant then asked, "Are you Delonte West?"
"I used to be but I'm not about that life anymore," West reportedly replied.
"I asked [what] happened and he said 'life,'" added the fan in his Instagram post.

West was once a promising talent when he entered the NBA as a one-time star for St. Joseph's College. He was picked by Boston in the 2004 NBA draft and blossomed as a Celtic. He got traded to Seattle in 2007 in a deal that brought Ray Allen to Boston, before he became a significant contributor to the Cleveland Cavaliers beside LeBron James.
But his stay in Cleveland was rocked with controversy, specifically after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2008. He then bounced around teams before finding himself playing in China and the NBA D-League where he last played for the Texas Legends in 2015.
