D’ANGELO Russell is playing on a bruised foot at Lakers camp, but is not looking to stop training.
The bruise in the bottom of his right foot and the No. 2 rookie pick needed to ice the foot more often after practices, according to the LA Times’ Mike Bresnahan.
“It's like when I stop, it tightens up,” Russell said. “It's just a bruise. It's all good. We'll figure out some different ways around it.”
Russell could have opted to sit out the evening session, but still took part.
Bresnahan said Russell couldn't hide how much his foot was hurting, although the young guard tried to downplay the soreness.
