Damian Lillard scores franchise-record 59 points as Blazers down Jazz

DAMIAN Lillard scored a franchise record 59 points as the Trail Blazers downed the Utah Jazz, 101-86, on Saturday in Portland (Sunday, Manila time).

The Blazers notched their second straight win, leveling their win-loss record to 40-40 to stay in eighth spot in the Western Conference.

The Denver Nuggets are in ninth spot with a 38-41 record.

Lillard also matched his career high with nine triples.

Maurice Harkless was the only other Portland player to score in double figures with 12 points.

The Jazz saw their win streak end at two, absorbing their 31st loss in 80 outings.

Gordon Hayward scored 21, while Rudy Gobert came up with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Joe Johnson came off the bench to also score 13 for Utah, running fifth in the West.
