    Blazers waste 18-point lead but recover to beat Suns

    THE Portland Trail Blazers wasted an 18-point lead but recovered to beat the Suns, 110-101, on Sunday in Phoenix (Monday, Manila time).

    Damian Lillard scored 39 points, 28 coming in the first half when the Blazers built a 68-50 lead.

    The Suns managed to take a 95-94 lead with four minutes left but the Blazers played steadier down the stretch, with CJ McCollum hitting big baskets.

    The Blazers bounced back from a loss to the Washington Wizards, notching their 29th win in 65 games.

    Phoenix could not get a win run going after downing the Dallas Mavericks, absorbing their third loss in the last four games and 45th in 67 outings.

    Devin Bookers had 28 points and Eric Bledsoe scored 19 for the Suns.
