SETH Curry led the way for the surging Dallas team with 22 points as the Mavericks rolled to their third straight win with a 113-95 romp over the Philadelphia 76ers at the American Airlines Center on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time).
Curry hit two triples in an 18-4 second quarter run that helped Dallas to overcome a slow start against a Philadelphia team that began a four-game road trip without star Joel Embiid. Harrison Barnes then helped the Mavs close out the first half and take 50-47 lead after trailing by as much as nine early on.
The Sixers got as close as two points midway through the third before Curry capped a 19-5 blitz bridging the third and fourth quarters with a jumper, giving the Mavericks a 21-point lead. Dallas led by as much as 22 and the lead never dipped below 16 until the final buzzer.
Barnes and Salah Mejri each scored 16 apiece, with the Tunisian center grabbing 17 rebounds off the bench to help Dallas improve to 19-30. The Mavericks five of their last six games.
Jahlil Okafor led Philadelphia (18-30) with 16 points, while Ersan Ilyasova had a double-double effort of 13 markers and 10 rebounds. Dario Saric and Gerald Henderson added 10 apiece.
