Warriors march on to conference finals with sweep of Jazz

THE Golden State Warriors started strong and eased to a 121-95 victory over the Utah Jazz, completing a four-game sweep of their Western Conference semifinal series on Monday in Salt Lake City (Tuesday, Manila time).

Klay Thompson scored the first four points of the game, led by 24 in the first quarter and never trailed.

The Warriors now get to rest again, with the other semi between the second-seeded San Antonio Spurs and No. 3 Houston Rockets tied at 2-2.

Steph Curry scored 30 on 9 of 15 shooting, while Thompson wound up with 21 points, making 9 of 16 field goal attempts.

Draymond Green had a triple-double of 17 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, while Kevin Durant added 18 points.

Game Five of the Spurs-Rockets is set Tuesday, Game Six on Thursday and if necessary Game Seven is on Sunday.

Gordon Hayward scored 25 points, Shelvin Mack added 18, while Rudy Gobert came up with a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds.
