CORY Joseph stepped up on a night Kyle Lowry was allowed to rest, helping lift the Toronto Raptors to a 109-119 victory over the lowly Nets on Tuesday in Brooklyn (Wednesday, Manila time).
The Nets managed to keep it close early before the Raptors took charge with a 34-24 third quarter on the way to their fourth straight win.
Demar DeRozan led the way, as expected, with 36 points, making 13 of 28 shots, while Joseph was an efficient 15 for 22 in delivering 33 points for Toronto.
The Raptors notched their 28th win in 41 outings, while sending the Nets to their 11th straight loss and 33rd in 41 games.
Brook Lopez scored 28 points on 11 of 33 shooting for Brooklyn.
