KC Concepcion said she enjoyed watching a basketball game live for the first time after being invited to the NBA preseason game on Thursday night by Houston Rockets rising star Chandler Parsons.
“It was really exciting to watch a live basketball show for the first time,” Concepcion told reporters after watching from ringside the Rockets' 116-96 win over the Indiana Pacers at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The actress said she was given tickets to the game by Parsons after having dinner with the heartthrob and their friends on Tuesday night, months after an exchange of tweets that drew attention from netizens.

Concepcion was initially reluctant to talk about her friendship with Chandler Parsons when approached by Spin.ph after the game, but later thanked the Rockets guard via Twitter for the "great seats, great game."
After the game, when the players from both sides threw out souvenirs to the MOA Arena crowd, Parsons gave his to Concepcion.
Nevertheless, the actress said she was happy to see her friend play for the first time. Parsons finished the game with 15 points in the Rockets win.
“Of course, my friend is from the Rockets. It was really nice watching (Chandler) for the first time,” said the daughter of actress and television host Sharon Cuneta.

More than anything, Concepcion said she was proud that the country was able to host a game of such magnitude.
“Nakakatuwa na tayo ang nag-host. We are still passionate in basketball and I’m proud that the country hosted this event,” said Concepcion.
