CHRIS Paul has been fined $35,000 for “aggressively confronting and recklessly making contact with a game official” in the Houston Rockets opening game of the Western Conference semifinals against the Golden State Warriors.
The fine was announced on Monday (Tuesday, Manila time) by NBA Executive Vice President for Basketball Operations Kiki VanDeWeghe.
Paul was called for his second technical foul and an automatic ejection with 4.4 seconds left in the game on Sunday.
He had pulled down a rebound and collided with Klay Thompson and while arguing for a foul, appeared to bump referee Josh Tiven.
The Warriors won 104-100.
