THE Los Angeles Clippers took the lead in the first round playoff series against the Utah Jazz with a 111-106 victory on Friday in Salt Lake City (Saturday, Manila time).
Chris Paul showed the way for the Clippers, who erased a 25-38 deficit before surviving a tough endgame.
Los Angeles held Utah scoreless in a five minute stretch in the fourth to rise from a four-point deficit to a seven-point lead.
The Clippers made it back-to-back wins for a 2-1 lead after dropping the series opener at home.
Paul scored 32 on 12 of 22 shooting and also made 10 assists.
DeAndre Jordan also came up with a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Luke Mbah a Moute added 15 points, while Blake Griffin added 11 points for Los Angeles.
Game Four is on Sunday.
Gordon Hayward scored 40 points and George Hill added 26 for Utah.
