THE Chicago Bulls overcame a sluggish start with a scorching second half to deal the Oklahoma City Thunder a 28-point beatdown, 128-100, at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time).

The Bulls trailed 18-9 at the start but turned things around with a 24-3 blitz bridging the second and third quarters that stunned the Thunder, who had star Russell Westbrook limping late starting in the first half.

Westbrook played on after the break but the Bulls did not let up with 75-second half points in a searing display in offense with 25 assists and all players aside from Rajon Rondo scored.

Jimmy Butler was efficient from the field in shooting 11-of-17 to end up with 28 points to get the Bulls record back at .500 (25-25) with its second straight win. Dwyane Wade added 18 markers, and Robin Lopez chipped in 14 points.

Westbrook ended up with 28 points as well but only had eight assists and five rebounds as the Thunder (28-22) staggered to their third loss in a row. Jerami Grant added 15 markers off the bench, and Victor Oladipo contributed 12.
