    Chauncey Billups emerges as Pacers coaching candidate

    NBA veteran playmaker Chauncey Billups is being considered for the vacant Indiana Pacers coaching position.

    Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported the development on Thursday, Manila time, saying the 43-year-old Billups has already engaged talks with Pacers officials and are “planning to talk further” about the job.

    Billups is a five-time All-Star, three-time All-NBA member, and the 2004 Finals MVP when he led the Detroit Pistons in their championship conquest opposite the star-studded Los Angeles Lakers.

    Working as an analyst since he retired in 2014, Billups has now set his sights on coaching – and a top-level job at that.
