MICHAEL Kidd-Gilchrist posted a double-double as he led the Charlotte Hornets to its first win of the season at the expense of the Milwaukee Bucks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time).
The visiting Hornets bannered Kidd-Gilchrist who finished the match with 23 points, on 10-of-18 shooting, and 14 rebounds. Kemba Walker contributed 17 markers and eight assists while big men Roy Hibbert and Cody Zeller scored 15 apiece.
Despite foul trouble, 6-11 guard Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 31 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Greg Monroe had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Bucks in a losing cause.
The Bucks were hampered by poor shooting in the first half and were unable to find their groove as the Hornets dominated the paint all throughout the game.
