CARMELO Anthony is set to gain a new lease on his NBA life.
The 35-year-old journeyman forward has secured a deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, who are aching for some firepower in the middle of rough start to its NBA season.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN broke the news on Friday.
Anthony has been out the NBA for over a year after last suiting up for the Houston Rockets for 10 games last season.

The 10-time All-Star and six-time All-NBA forward, though, earlier insisted he has kept himself in shape and has been eager to return to the league and adapt to the system of whichever team he lands.
The Blazers have lost their last two games and have won just four of their first 12 games to start the season.
