Kings snap two-game skid and halt Timberwolves' win run at two

THE Sacramento Kings ended a two-game skid, defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves, 123-117, on Saturday in Minneapolis (Sunday, Manila time).

Buddy Hield showed the way as the Kings scored their 30th win in 77 games.

The Kings started the fourth strong to take control, 100-85, and held on for their third win in the last five games.

Hield matched his career high with 22 points, while Ty Lawson had a double-double of 21 points and 11 assists.

Langston Galloway came up with 17 points and fellow reserve Aaron Afflalo chippedin with 16.

The Timberwolves saw their win streak end at two, suffering their 45th loss in 75 outings.

Andrew Wiggins had 32 points, while the rest of the Minnesota starters also scored in double figures.

Karl Anthony Towns had 26 points and 11 rebounds, while Ricky Rubio also had a double-double with 11 points and 13 assists.

Gorgui Dieng and Brandon Rush had 11 point apiece for the Timberwolves.
