THE Brooklyn Nets rallied past the New York Knicks to make it back-to-back wins with a 121-110 romp at the Madison Square Garden on Thursday (Friday, Manila time).
The Nets came back from an 11-point deficit early with a 21-6 blast to start the third and take a 79-73 lead with 5:31 to go in the period. The Knicks only got within two the rest of the way, with Brooklyn going on a 10-3 blitz midway through the fourth to extend the advantage to 14.
The lead never dipped below nine until the final buzzer as the Nets evened the season series with two straight wins against their cross-town rivals.
Brook Lopez led Brooklyn (13-54) with 24 points, while Rondae Hollis-Jefferson added a double-double of 20 markers and 10 boards. Jeremy Lin chipped in 15 points as well.
Kyle O’Quinn had 23 points off the bench to lead the Knicks (27-42), while Derrick Rose added 22 markers. Carmelo Anthony contributed 17 points on 6-of-18 shooting.
