THE Brooklyn Nets pulled away late and survived Andrew Wiggins 36-point explosion to send the Minnesota Timberwolves to their third straight loss, 119-110, at the Barclays Center on Tuesday (Wednesday, Manila time).

After Wiggins’ jumper put Minnesota within two, 110-112, with 56 seconds to go, Bojan Bogdanovic scored five points in a 7-0 run, which proved to be the telling rally for Brooklyn in what was a tightly contested match.

Brook Lopez scored 15 of Brooklyn’s team-high 26 points, including three triples, in the first half to help carry the Nets to a slim 66-65 lead at the break.

But Wiggins led the second half charge for Minnesota, scoring 21 of his game-high 36 after the break until the Timberwolves ran out of steam in the endgame.

Lopez led seven other Nets players in double figures as Trevor Booker had 15 while Sean Kilpatrick added 14 off the bench. Bogdanovic and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson each had 13 markers for Brooklyn, now with a 3-4 card.
