BROOK Lopez had 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists as the Nets survived a late rally from the Denver Nuggets, 116-111, on Wednesday in Brooklyn (Thursday, Manila time) to end a three-game losing streak.
The Nets led from start to finish but Denver staged a comeback in the fourth quarter behind Wilson Chandler who sank one of his six triples to cut the lead 111-109 with 16 seconds left.
Denver started fouling the Nets who made five out of six free throws to preserve their win.
Sean Kilpatrick scored 22 points on 6 for 10 shooting. Bojan Bogdanovic added 19. Trevor Booker had 15 points and 12 rebounds while Isaiah Whitehead ended with 14 points for the Nets who are now have a 6-15 record.
Wilson Chandler sank six triples en route to 27 points and 15 rebounds for the Nuggets who absorbed lost their 15th loss in 23 games.
