JR Smith could reunite with LeBron James for another title shot.
The free agent guard is being considered as by the Lakers to fill the spot vacated by Avery Bradley, who is sitting out the NBA restart in Florida.
Bradley is not joining the Lakers in the NBA’s 22-team restart to be with his family and take care of his three kids, including a six-year-old son with a history of respiratory illnesses.

Players have until Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time) to inform their teams if they intend to play or not, and the clubs are allowed to sign a replacement player.
The Lakers still have Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Talen Horton Tucker at small forward.

Smith was part of LeBron James’ crew in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ run to the NBA championship in 2016.
The 34-year-old Smith has become a top candidate for the vacant Lakers spot, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
