THE Washington Wizards wasted a huge early lead but recovered to defeat the Pelicans, 107-94, on Sunday in New Orleans (Monday, Manila time).
Bradley Beal scored 27 points on 11 of 16 shooting as the Wizards made it four straight wins.
The Wizards led 46-29 in the second but the Pelicans fought back and tied the game at 76 early in the fourth on a triple by Langston Galloway.
Washington then regained control with seven straight points and went on to notch its 27th win in 47 outings.
Markieff Morris scored 21 on 9 of 20 shooting, while John Wall scored 18, making 8 of 19 field goal attempts.
The Pelicans could not build on the big upset win over the San Antonio Spurs.
Anthony Davis came up with a huge double-double of 36 points and 17 rebounds for New Orleans, which absorbed its 29th loss in 48 games.
Jrue Holiday had 26 points on 11 of 19 shooting.
