BOSTON rained down 15 triples on Brooklyn to pull away with a 111-92 win on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time) at the Barclays Center.
Isaiah Thomas sank five three-pointers while Al Horford and Jae Crowder each added three treys to help Boston win its third straight game in blowout fashion.
The Celtics never trailed the entire game, led by 17 early in the second period. But the Nets stormed back and tied the game at 60 midway through the third frame, before Boston closed out the quarter with a 19-6 run to bring the lead back to 13.
Brooklyn only got as close as seven the rest of the way as Boston went full throttle late and a Kelly Olynyk slam put the Celtics biggest lead at 19 for the final points of the game.
Thomas led all scorers with 23, while Avery Bradley added 22 to help Boston win its third straight game and improve to 9-6. Horford and Crowder chipped in 17 and 15 markers, respectively.
Trevor Booker finished with a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds but the Nets lost their fifth straight game to fall to 4-10. Bojan Bogdanovic added 14 markers while Brook Lopez chipped in 13.
