    Nets end two-game skid and send Lakers to eighth straight loss

    BOJAN Bogdanovic scored 23 points, Sean Kilpatrick finished with 22 points and five assists as the Nets broke a two-game losing streak by beating the slumping Los Angeles Lakers 107-97 on Wednesday in Brooklyn (Thursday, Manila time).

    Brook Lopez added 20 points and seven rebounds while Trevor Booker grabbed 18 rebounds to go with eight points for the Nets who won their sixth game of the season.

    The Nets had a 52-43 lead at the half. LA mounted a rally in the third and led by one, 76-75 at the end of the quarter.

    LA was just down by one, 95-94, after a layup by Lou Williams with 6:18 left when tLopez spearheaded a 12-3 run to close the game.

    Six Lakers scored in double figures led by Williams’ 16 from the bench but it wasn’t enough as LA was plagued with inconsistency and loss the battle of the boards 61-49 as it tumbled to its eighth straight loss.
