FIL-AMERICAN guard Bobby Ray Parks is set to make his NBA D-League debut after surviving the final cut of the Texas Legends for its opening-night roster.
Parks was named to the Legends' opening roster by coach Nick Van Exel as management waived five players and put two on the inactive list in order to comply with the league's mandated 10-player roster.
The 6-4 guard, selected at 25th overall by the Legends in the D-League draft, is one of six guards named by the Legends to play in its opening game on the road against the Austin Spurs on Saturday (Manila time).
He joined three other draft picks as well as India's Satnam Singh, who was picked by the Dallas Mavericks in the second round of the NBA rookie draft before being sent to their D-League affiliate.
To complete the roster, the team has waived guard George Beamon, forward Kevin Parrom, center Stan Simpson, guard Marcus Tarrance and guard Quardell Young.
