THE Clippers lost a big early lead and had to fight off the Portland Trail Blazers in a tough endgame for a 121-120 victory on Monday in Los Angeles (Tuesday, Manila time).
Blake Griffin scored 26 and Chris Paul had 21 points as the Clippers made it two straight wins after beating the New Orleans Pelicans.
A triple by Paul gave the Clippers a 114-111 lead and they wound up scoring their 18th win in 25 games.
Paul led the Clippers to a double-digit lead in the first quarter but saw it vanish as the Blazers fought back behind Allen Crabbe.
The Blazers absorbed their fourth straight loss and 14th in 26 outings.
