Ben Simmons has succesful surgery on acute Jones fracture, may sit out entire season

BEN Simmons had successful surgery on his right foot to repair an acute Jones fracture, the Philadelphia 76ers announced in a statement on Tuesday (Wednesday, Manila time)

The forward sustained the injury during a September 30 scrimmage when he rolled his ankle after landing on the foot of another player in training camp.

The No.1 overall pick of the 2016 NBA draft will undergo rehabilitation afterwards, altbough a timetable for his recovery and return to play has yet to be announced by the team. Simmons is expected to be out three months.

On the other hand, a league source told Bob Cooney of the Philadelphia Daily News him that Simmons' agent Rich Paul might not want to let him play this season.
