WHILE Anthony Edwards looks to be rising as the face of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the young All-Star remains focused on team work.
The 21-year-old Edwards, first overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, says he is hoping to help Karl-Anthony Towns elevate his game to MVP level as the Timberwolves try to go deep in the playoffs.

Minnesota made the postseason for the second consecutive year, bowing out with a 4-1 loss in the first round of the playoff to eventual champion Denver.
Edwards last month was given a max contract extension — a five-year $207 million deal that could rise to $260 million.

The new contract starts in the 2024-2025 season as the Timberwolves build around the young star, as Edwards plots 50-win seasons after going 42-40 the past campaign.
“We want to win 50 games this year, we want to get KAT to MVP level this year,” he added.
