THE Pelicans squandered a double-digit lead but did just enough to hold off the Boston Celtics for a 106-105 victory on Monday in New Orleans (Tuesday, Manila time).
Tim Frazier split his free throws off a Kelly Olynyk foul with two seconds left to hand the Pelicans only their second win in 11 outings.
Anthony Davis had 25 points and 16 rebounds for the Pelicans, who carried a 10-pointlead into the fourth quarter.
Langston Galloway came up with 21 points and Terrence Jones added 15 for New Orleans.
Frazier finished with 10 points to help the Pelicans bounce back from a 27-point loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Pelicans also spoiled the 37-point outing of Isaiah Thomas.
Avery Bradley had 19 points on 7 of 17 shooting, while Marcus Smart scored 15 for Boston, who have an even record of 5-5.
