THE New Orleans Pelicans ended a five-game skid, edging the Suns in overtime, 120-119, on Sunday in Phoenix (Monday, Manila time).
Jrue Holiday completed a three-point play early in overtime and the Pelicans held on to the hairline lead for their eighth win in 25 games.
Holiday, who also missed two shots from the stripe that would have given the Pelicans breathing room, finished with 23 points.
Reggie Williams scored 17 for New Orleans, which next takes on the Golden State Warriors.
Anthony Davis came up with 14 points, while Tim Frazier came off the bench to match that output.
The Suns absorbed their 17th loss in 24 games.
Eric Bledsoe scored 32, while Leandro Barbosa came off the bench to deliver 18 points for Phoenix.
