THE Pelicans ended a three-game slide with a 109-86 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday in New Orleans (Thursday, Manila time).
Anthony Davis scored 33 points and pulled down 14 rebounds as the Pelicans notched their 24th win in 59 games.
The Pelicans have yet to win with new acquisition DeMarcus Cousins, who missed the game as he served a one-game suspension after incurring his 18th technical foul of the season in the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Jrue Holiday had 22 points on 10 of 18 shooting, while Dante Cunningham came up with 16 points, hitting four triples, for the Pelicans.
The Pistons absorbed their 32nd loss in 61 games.
Jon Leuer had 22 points on 11 of 23 shooting for Detroit.
Andre Drummond came up with 13 points and 17 rebounds before being ejected for swiping at the head of Tim Frazier after a rebound play in the third quarter.
