    Timberwolves take control early and cruise to 28-point victory over struggling Cavaliers

    THE Timberwolves took control early and never let up, easing to a 127-99 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday in Minnesota (Tuesday, Manila time).

    Andrew Wiggins and Jimmy Butler showed the way as the Timberwolves moved ahead early, 32-18, and were never threatened.

    The Timberwolves made it back-to-back wins after beating the New Orleans Pelicans, improving to 26-16.

    Wiggins came up with 25 points and five other Minnesota Timberwolves scored in double figures.

    Butler delivered 21 points, Karl Anthony Towns scored 19, Taj Gibson added 16, Gorgui Dieng had 11 points and Jamal Crawford chipped in with 10.

    The Cavaliers, meanwhile, could not get a win run going after beating the Orlando Magic and absorbed their fifth loss in seven games.

    The only Cleveland starter to score in double figures was LeBron James with 10.
