OKLAHOMA City showed determination in a nonbearing game, with Andre Roberson stepping up in the closing moments to push the Thunder to a morale-boosting scrimmage win ahead of the NBA restart.
Roberson made two huge triples in the endgame as the Thunder completed a comeback from 24 points down to score a 102-97 win over the Philadelphia 76ers in a tuneup game on Sunday in Florida (Monday, Manila time).
Those were the only points for the backup guard.
Roberson hit the go-ahead triple with 50 seconds left, and sealed the victory with another trey.
It was a tough win for the Thunder, even against the Sixers who were without Joel Embiid due to a calf strain.
Philadelphia was in control early and built an 81-57 lead late in the third, before the Thunder found their groove.
Shai Gilgeous Alexander had 16 points while Steven Adams scored 11 and was a rebound shy of a double-double for the Thunder.
Chris Paul scored five.
The Sixers were led by Ben Simmons, who had a near triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists, while Al Horford had 13 points and nine rebounds.
Oklahoma City next faces the Portland Trail Blazers in scrimmage before their first official game ofd the NBA restart on Aug. 1 against the Utah Jazz.
Philadelphia has a scrimmage against Dallas before the seeding game against Indiana also on Aug. 1.
