AN unfortunate display of violence marred Mindoro's 76-72 win over Gensan in the 2025 MPBL Season last Monday at the Batangas City Coliseum.
Gensan's Michole Sorela threw a huge right hook at an unsuspecting Jonas Tibayan in the 7:34 mark of the game, bloodying and knocking out the Minodoro forward who had to be stretchered out of the floor.

Medics later said Tibayan may have suffered a concussion, a busted lip and a fractured left shoulder from his hard fall on the floor after going down unconscious.
WATCH:
Pola Mayor Ina Raymundo, team owner of the Mindoro Tamaraws, said Tibayan will later be transferred to a hospital in Manila for further examination.
Apart from the automatic one-game suspension, Sorela stands to face stiffer sanctions as the MPBL technical committee, Commissioner Kenneth Duremdes, and the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) are set to review footage of the incident.
Bam Gamalinda led the Tamaraws with 21 points while Wendell Comboy added 16 points in the win.
Sarangani beats Muntinlupa to keep MPBL playoff hopes alive
In the first game, Kyt Jimenez scored 12 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to lead Sarangani past Muntinlupa, 72-68.
Jimenez had a huge all-aroun game as he added eight rebounds, four assists and three steals to his name to lead the Grippers to their ninth win against 13 losses and stay in contention for a playoff spot.
