CALOOCAN became the latest team to get a taste of the MPBL’s sanctions as it was fined Php 5,000,000 for the forfeiture of its game against the Biñan scheduled last September 5 at Polomolok, South Cotabato.
Previous reports linked the forfeiture and Caloocan’s missed flight to General Santos City on September 4 due to the team management's vehement disagreement on the officiating of their previous game, and the league's handing of the issue.
The fine also includes the withdrawal of the Batang Kankaloo’s home games for the remainter of the 2026 regular season.

The team was also warned that more infractions will subject them to ‘serious penalties’ by the MPBL, as it gears up for the playoffs with all teams having less than 10 games left on their schedules.
Caloocan has two remaining games against Batangas and Zamboanga, effectively revoking their hosting rights from North Caloocan Sports Complex that has hosted the regional league multiple times prior.
They currently stand at a record of 18-5, ranking third in the North Division behind fellow powerhouses San Juan and Abra.
