THE Mindoro Tamaraws took their fourth straight win in the MPBL 2025 season after a 103-72 crushing of the Bulacan Kuyas on Thursday at the Playtime FilOil Ecooil Centre in San Juan.
Powered by Wendel Comboy, Hanz Philip Maycong and Axel Inigo, the Tamaraws improved to 11-8 after their initial struggles in the early goings of the round-robin elimination phase.
Comboy posted 20 points, three assists, and 2 blocks, Maycong chipped in 14 points while Inigo added a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds as Mindoro pulled down Bulacan to 2-16.
Other Tamaraws who delivered for coach Bengie Teodoro and team owner Mayor Jennifer "Ina Alegre" Cruz were Jeco Bancaje with 10 points and RJ Ramirez with seven points.
With Comboy sinking six of nine treys the Tamaraws converted 14 from downtown while also controlling the boards, 51-39, and the fastbreak at 43-16.
Bulacan drew 16 points, from Marlon Monte, 13 points and 11 rebounds from Joseph Celso, and 10 points from John Rey Sumido.
The MPBL returns to The Capital Arena on Saturday with games pitting Caloocan against Abra at 6 p.m., and Ilagan Isabela against Valenzuela at 8 p.m.
