THE ABRA Weavers continued to wreak havoc in the MPBL 2025 season as they ran through the Muntinlupa Cagers, 128-70, on Monday at the Paco Arena in Manila.
Encho Serrano poured in a game-high 25 points while Dave Ildefonso did everything else as he posted an 11-point, 13-assist and 12-rebound triple-double to push the Weavers to their 23rd win against just one loss in the round-robin elimination phase of the 30-team, two-division tournament.
Abra is ahead of Nueva Ecija (23-2) and San Juan (22-2) in the North Division as well as the overall standings, as Quezon Province, the best team in the South Division, totes a 20-4 record.

Balanced Weavers
Six other players breached double-digits for the Weavers with Mike Ayonayon, Jolo Mendoza and Marwin Taywan contirbuting 13 apiece, Geo Chiu and Harley Baldo chipping in 11 and Simon Camacho adding 10.
The Cagers suffered their 11th straight defeat and tumbled to 10-14, holding onto the ninth spot in the South Division.
Muntinlupa got 15 points from Marvin Hayes and 13 points and eight rebounds from Kurt Lojera.
Dominant off the boards, 57-34, the Weavers scored more points in the paint, 52-32, as well as the fastbreak, 36-10.
The MPBL returns to Ynares Center Montalban on Tuesday, with games pitting Marikina against Pasig at 4 p.m., Batangas against Davao Occidental at 6 p.m., and host Rizal against Bulacan at 8 p.m.
