The Abra Weavers regained its lethal form and clobbered the Bulacan Kuyas, 114-69, on Monday to climb in the standings of the MPBL 2025 Season at the Nueva Ecija Coliseum in Palayan City.
Stunned by the Pasay Voyagers, 60-70, on March 19, the Weavers surged beyond reach after three quarters, 82-42, then fielded homegrown players to finish the task and tally their third win in the 30-team tournament.

Together with Pangasinan, they trail 3-0 pacesetters Pampanga, Quezon Province, Nueva Ecija and Rizal Xentromall in the round-robin elimination phase.
Redel Fabro, formerly of Olivarez College, poured 15 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter, as the Weavers led by as many as 111-64 and handed the Kuyas their fourth straight defeat.
Dave Ildefonso posted 17 points, three rebounds and two steals to clinch best player honors over the 6-foot Fabro and Will Keane Lee, a prized find from Cordillera Career Development Colleg who tallied 13 points and three blocks.
The La Salle duo of Joshua David and CJ Austria added 12 points apiece.
The Weavers also ruled the boards, 54-40, led by another ex-La Sallian Raven Gonzales’ 14, and exploited this by scoring 64 points inside the paint against only 28 for the Kuyas.
The Weavers' tight defense forced the Kuyas to commit 19 turnovers that they converted to 30 points against only four for their victims.
Bulacan drew 17 points from RR de Leon while John Rey Sumido added 16, but found little help from their teammates.
The MPBL returns to the Cuneta Astrodome on Tuesday, March 25, with games pitting Bataan against Caloocan at 4 p.m., Valenzuela against Marikina at 6 p.m., and Pasay against Manila at 8 p.m.
