THE Abra Weavers are starting to stack their roster for the team's maiden stint in the East Asia Super League (EASL).
The defending MPBL champions have tapped the services of Malick Diouf as their naturalized player for the 2026-27 season of the regional showcase set to kick off on Oct. 3 in Cebu City.

The EASL made the announcement on Friday.
The 6-foot-11 Diouf last played for the Strong Group Athletics in the annual Jones Cup last month in Chinese-Taipei.
It was the first tournament the 27-year-old player originally from Senegal suited up for since his naturalization for Gilas Pilipinas was officially granted following the issuance of his Philippine passport.
He was naturalized specifically for the Gilas men's 3x3 team.
Diouf played college ball for University of the Philippines where he won a UAAP men's basketball championship in 2022 during the same season where he was adjudged as tournament MVP and Finals MVP.
Following his graduation at State U, he was signed up by the Zamboanga Valientes and saw action in the 2024 Asian Tournament. He later on hooked up with the Pacific Caesar Surabaya in the Indonesian Basketball League.
In the Season 50 PBA Commissioner's Cup, Diouf was initially tapped by TNT as a replacement for injured import Bol Bol during the semifinals series against Meralco.
But owing to documentary requirements issue, he failed to play for the Tropang 5G as his place was later taken in by Chris McCullough.
