IT didn't take long for former College of St. Benilde standout Migs Oczon to introduce himself to Korean Basketball League (KBL) fans, firing a clutch triple to seal Ulsan Mobis Phoebus' 14th win of the season over Sonicboom, 83-82, on Saturday (Manila time).

With his team down two and 11 seconds left in regulation, Oczon drilled the game-winner from range — one which Sonicboom failed to respond to as Ulsan rose to sixth place in the league table at 14-14 (win-loss).

CSB Blazers head coach Charles Tiu was quick to congratulate his former ward in a standout performance for his new squad.
Oczon had a quiet debut in Ulsan's 90-83 New Year's Eve victory over fellow Filipino import SJ Belangel's Kogas side, finishing with four points, two boards, and an assist in eight minutes of play.
The former Benilde ace upped the ante in his second game with a team-high 23 points, including the game-winning three, on top of five assists and three rebounds.
All these numbers emerged from Oczon's breakout sophomore stint in 29 minutes coming off the bench.
Oczon forefeited two more years of NCAA eligibility with Benilde and has begun proving himself a worthy successor to Ulsan's now-Japan based Filipino import RJ Abarrientos — the KBL's reigning Rookie of the Year.
